Assignment 1: Restaurant Menu Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to gain experience with
"Desktop Publishing" and using columns. You might also want
to use your sense of humour to have some fun with this assignment.
- Open AppleWorks Word Processing document.
- Under Format on the menu bar select Insert Header. Once
your cursor moves to the header section, select the center justification
button and type the name of the restaurant. Your font size should be
between 18 and 36 point. Experiment with the fonts until you find one
to your liking.
- Add some art work to the header. This graphic must be related to the
name. You may use clip art, your own drawing, or a graphic from the
Internet.
- Click below the Header to put the cursor in the main body of the page.
- Make two columns by clicking on the column button on the tool bar
beneath the ruler.
- Create at least 5 sub-headings. Use a font size between 14 and 24
points for these. An example would be "Appetizers".
- Enter at least 40 menu items and prices. Put approximately 8 items
under each subheading. Use a font size of 12 - 14 point for these.
- Your finished product should fill the page without looking crowded.
In order to achieve this you may need to adjust the font size, spacing,
font type and style at the end. This is known as formatting.
- Save as menu_(yourname).
